This is correct. For privacy reason, Maryland
BPO REO Services nor the independent contractors
used by Maryland BPO REO Services are ever told
the reason why pictures are requested. |

report in person. |

It's not illegal
for someone to stand/be on public property and
take pictures of private property. |

Real estate agents
have to pull comparables
(comps)
for listing from areas they are doing a BPO (Broker
Price Opinion).
Lenders and banks
may just making sure a property is still
standing
(not burned to the ground)
to secure a loan.
Lenders, banks
and taxes agents may be updating portfolios.
In some cases
it may be refinance or...
Insurance
agency and banks may need to make sure a
property is or isn't occupied.
What ever the
reason is; unless asked to determine occupancy,
the contractor is not told the reason for taking
photos.
As always, we
recommend reporting any suspiciously activity. |
